As the crisp autumn air settles in and our little town embraces the changing colors of fall, an extra dose of excitement fills the community. This Friday, October 26, is not just another football game—it’s Mammoth High School’s Homecoming and the celebration of the school’s 50th Anniversary! The Mammoth High School football team is ready to take the field, and the entire town is coming together at Gault Stadium to make this a night to remember.
A Special Season and a Historic Night
This season has been an extraordinary one for the Mammoth Huskies. Ranked number 1 in the Hi-Lo League and number 9 in the state CIF, the team has shown tremendous grit and determination. With a blend of seasoned seniors and rising underclassmen, the Huskies have battled this season to win every league game and conquer 2 rivals, Fresno Christian and Avalon High School. This Friday, they’re looking to keep the momentum going with a JV win over Mojave and a Varsity win against Immanuel Christian -- adding 2 more home wins to the season. (Sorry, folks, Mojave canceled so there will not be a JV game. The varsity game is on for 6:00 PM, though).
Adding to the excitement, this game marks a significant milestone—Mammoth High School's 50th Anniversary. Homecoming activities will take place during halftime, offering a moment for everyone to reflect on the school's rich history and the many students who have walked its halls. It’s a night to honor the past while cheering on the future.
Game Details & Community Spirit
The festivities kick off with the highly anticipated varsity game at 6:00 PM. The Associated Student Body (ASB) has put together a special section for alumni to sit together, creating a space for those who have been a part of the school's legacy to reconnect and reminisce.
In addition to the on-field action, the event will have plenty of ways for everyone to get involved. The Latin Market will be serving up their famous quesadillas and other delicious items from their food truck, making it the perfect spot for a pre-game bite or a halftime snack. Plus, official 50th Anniversary swag will be available for purchase, along with a variety of other fundraising items to support school programs.
Pink Out for a Purpose
This year’s Homecoming theme is "Pink Out" in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The entire crowd is encouraged to dress in pink to show their support for those affected by breast cancer. It’s a chance for the Mammoth community to come together not just as fans, but as supporters of a larger cause.
Get Ready for a Night to Remember
Whether you're a student, an alumni, or just a football fan looking for a great night out, Friday's game is the place to be. Show up early to enjoy the pre-game festivities, grab some tasty food, and find a spot in the stands to soak in the energy of the night. From the first whistle to the final play, this promises to be a Homecoming and 50th Anniversary celebration like no other.
Join us at the Mammoth High School field this Friday, October 26, for an unforgettable night of football, community, and celebration. Let’s pack the stands, cheer on our Huskies, and make this milestone year one for the record books. Go Huskies, and happy 50th, Mammoth High!
